Mr. Lean

Caleb had his six month appointment yesterday. He is still a lean and long baby!

He is in the 95% for length and head circumference, and he is in the 50% for weight.

Doc told us that he would be average length for a 12 month old!

1/2 a year old!

First time on a slide!

Caleb is doing so well and growing up so fast! Every day he becomes more interactive and shows more of a personality. He loves to laugh and smile and seems to take most things with ease. His favorites lately are the dogs, waterbottles, and any toy with a button on it.

Physically, Caleb is still very LONG. When we see other babies 3 months older, Caleb is always about as long as them! He has TWO teeth in the bottom of his mouth and can bite quite well... my fingers know first hand. He is sitting up by himself and rarely falls over. Usually when he does fall over is when he is getting tired in the evening. Caleb is also making progress on his crawling goal. He can now pull himself forward while up on his knees. Now he just needs to coordinate the opposite leg/hand movement.

Food is going much better. He is getting into the hang of opening his mouth for us. Caleb loves his cereal and sweet potatoes. Carrots - he hates! Applesauce - too tart! Bananas - yum!

It is hard to believe he has already been here for 1/2 a year. Time is going quite fast. And yet, Jon and I are absolutely in love with this little boy and we feel so blessed to be witnessing the many milestones he makes every week. Watching a child develop is quite a fascinating thing, and we wouldn't give it up for the world! Caleb is such a blessing!!!

Weekend accomplishments!

This last weekend Caleb had THREE new accomplishments!!!

1. He is sitting by himself

2. He learned how to buzz his lips

3. And he is getting his FIRST tooth!!!!!!!!!!
