Here are some of the fun things I watched him do:
- He held 5 sticks in one hand the ENTIRE trip. For part of it, he also had one stick in his other hand, until he gave it to me and then put that hand in his pocket - so stinkin' cute!
- At one time I stretched my legs behind me while I was waiting for him. Next thing I know he stops again and is doing the same leg stretches. Here I thought he was looking at rocks and instead he had been watching what I was doing.
- Caleb stood in front of two huge dogs barking and growling at him (they were behind a gate) and could have stood there for ages. He actually wanted to go to them. The kid has no fear! And oh how he loves "puppy" dogs!
- Caleb is definetly all boy - he found a worm in the dirt and was so delighted to play with it, try to pull it apart, and analyze every bit of it.
- Saying "hello" with an emphatic "l" sound is common occurence. He says "hello" to people we see, to the big trucks that pass, and we can never pass up saying "hello" to the fire hydrants! The fire hydrants even get a hug and sometimes a kiss!
- Every rock, whether big or small, is an exciting thing to find.
- But the best part about our walk, is when he held my hand, he is such an independent little boy, but he would let me hold his hand crossing the street... my little boy melts my heart.
-Mara (but most happy when I'm known as 'Caleb's Mom')
