New Orleans
Caleb got to travel to New Orleans with Mom & Dad and 3 high school students.
They all attended the ELCA National Youth Gathering 2009!
Approx. 38,000 people were in attendance at this gathering!
Caleb's favorite place - the Aquarium!!!
He absolutely loved this place! The fish made him smile and giggle.
Caleb also really enjoyed the penquins and stingrays.
Dad and Caleb with a giant lobster!
Concentration
Concentration:
Look at how intent his face looks
Watching Daddy shovel
He's actually using his feet to move with! Shortly after this "ride" he figured out how to get himself off the bike without falling over.

Telling a story
Here is one of Caleb's wonderful stories. He tells all sorts of them lately.
He is quite the storyteller!
If only I knew what the story was about...
1st Independence Day!
Happy Fourth of July!!!
Mom's fancy fruit pizza - it was YUMMY!
We went to Independence, IA to see the fireworks.
The Cooper's joined us! We had a great time with sparklers before the fireworks display.

My First Cousin - literally!
I got to meet my very first cousin, Anna, when we went to Pheonix.
Dad and I enjoyed spending time with her.
It was a very in-depth conversation.

(Remember - Clicking on the pictures should give you a bigger picture on your screen if you have a hard time seeing some of the detail.)
Caleb helped Dad set up the tent - Meanwhile the mosquitos helped themselves to Caleb's face - Poor kid!
Camping on our way to the Grand Canyon
It was a gorgeous night and great campfire
The Grand Canyon - North Rim
We hiked about 2 miles into the canyon. The scenery was amazing and Caleb did very well - sleeping most of the time as you can see in the picture with Dad.
